Abstract

Guaranteeing high schedulability performance is a crucial issue in real-time systems. Semi-partitioned scheduling extends the fully partitioned approach by allowing a subset of tasks to migrate among processors in a predictable manner, thus containing the overhead introduced by global scheduling approaches. This work summarizes some recent results on semi-partitioned scheduling, showing how to achieve high schedulability performance with respect to global and fully-partitioned approaches.
