Abstract

The Center for Communication and Information Technology of Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento has recently adopted an organization where Research Units are aggregated in High-Impact Initiatives according to application domains. In this talk, I will present the HII on Smart Digital Industry, that aggregates research units in in Embedded Systems, Technologies for Vision, Software Engineering and 3D Optical Metrology. I will overview the technical competences, research challenges, and joint projects, and discuss the benefits of the increased critical mass.
