Abstract

Safety requirements are of fundamental importance in the development of intelligent autonomous systems. In this talk, a safety-oriented engineering process for autonomous robotic systems will be proposed. Specifically, it will be shown how the proposed approach allows to efficiently support the integration of robotic functions with different requirements in terms of safety and performance. A software architecture supporting the outlined process will also be detailed and analyzed with reference to the development of a robotic demonstrator.
