Abstract

The talk will describe the major open-source licenses (i.e. GPL, LGPL, BSD, MIT) explaining the rationale behind each license and the rights for the final recipient. In particular, the talk will illustrate the legal constraints when using open-source licenses in industrial products. Moreover, some examples of companies with business models based on open-source software will be also provided.
