Workshop Venue

CSIT 2015

The workshop will take place at Department of Oral and Maxillo Facial Sciences ("Dipartimento di Odontostomatologia") of Sapienza University of Rome.

Accommodation will be at Hotel Regina Margherita, at walking distance from the Workshop venue.

Important addresses

Both the Workshop venue and Hotel Regina Margherita are conveniently located at walking distance from the "Policlinico" subway (Metro) station (Line B).
"Policlinico" will be your reference subway station during your stay.

How to get to the workshop venue and hotel

From Fiumicino Airport (FCO) by public transportation:


  1. Reach the city centre in one of the following ways:
    • Leonardo Express trains to "Roma Termini" Central Station:
      • trains leave from airport train station (follow signs from terminal)
      • price: 14.00 Eur
      • time: 32 minutes
      • timetable: trains every 30 minutes until 23.23 (timetable at Trenitalia).
      Tickets can be bought at selling machines in the station using credit cards or at ticket office using credit cards or cash.
    • Local trains: choose a train having one of the following final destinations:
      • Roma Tiburtina
      • Orte
      • Poggio Mirteto
      • Fara Sabina
      and get off at "Roma Tiburtina" Station:
      • trains leave from the airport train station (follow signs from terminal)
      • price: 8.00 Eur
      • time: 48 minutes
      • timetable: trains every 15-30 minutes (timetable at Trenitalia).
      Tickets can be bought at selling machines in the station using credit cards or at ticket office using credit cards or cash.
    • Buses to "Roma Termini" Central Station:
      • buses leave from the airport bus station (follow signs from terminal)
      • price: 5.00-6.00 Eur (depending on the company)
      • time: 50 minutes
      • timetable: buses every 15-30 minutes.
      Tickets can be bought onboard using cash only. You can withdraw Euro cash at ATM machines in the airport terminals.

  2. From both "Roma Termini" and "Roma Tiburtina" stations, take subway (Metro) line B:
    • from "Roma Termini" Station take a train in either "Rebibbia" or "Jonio" direction
    • from "Roma Tiburtina" Station take a train in the "Laurentina" direction

  3. Get off at "Policlinico" station (two stops).

  4. Walk 1 minute to the Workshop Venue and 5 minutes to the hotel (follow the map above).

From Fiumicino Airport (FCO) by taxi

A taxis queue is available immediately outside the airport terminal.
Look for white cars with "Roma Capitale" sign on the door. Price to the hotel or the Workshop venue will be 50-60 Eur. Jurney will take 30-40 min.

You can withdraw Euro cash at ATM machines in the airport terminals. If you wish to pay your taxi by credit card, explicitly ask for a car equipped with a card reader.

How to get to Apuleius Restaurant from the hotel or the Workshop Venue:

  1. Walk to "Policlinico" subway (Metro) station (1 minute from workshop venue and 5 minutes from hotel).
  2. Take subway (Metro) line B in the "Laurentina" direction. Information about subway (Metro) tickes are available here.
  3. Get off at "Circo Massimo" station.
  4. Walk 10 minutes (follow the map above).

How to go back to the hotel from Apuleius Restaurant:

  • Before 23.45:
    • Walk 10 minutes to "Circo Massimo" subway (Metro) station (follow the map above).
    • Take subway (Metro) line B in either "Jonio" or "Rebibbia" directions.
    • Get off at "Policlinico" station.
    • Walk 5 minutes to the hotel.

  • After 23.45:
    • Walk 10 minutes to the front of "Circo Massimo" subway (Metro) station (follow the map above).
    • Possibly cross the street, as to be on the side of the large Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) white complex (it is by far the largest complex facing the square).
    • Approach the yellow bus stop nearby.
    • Take either:
      • night bus N2 (check you are taking the bus in the "Rebibbia" direction) or
      • bus N2L (check you are taking the bus in the "Conca d'Oro" direction).
        • Both buses run about every 20 minutes. Information about bus/subway tickes are available here.
    • Get off in front of the "Policlinico" subway (Metro) station.
    • Walk 5 minutes to the hotel.
